hey guys its me otaku nick just hear with sum new moview news.The official website for the Steins;Gate franchise announced today that the Steins;Gate Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu film will open on April 20. The sequel to the 2011 Steins;Gate television anime series will open in at least 30 theaters across Japan.

Now then I myself havent looked for any story overviews or anything like that but just from the name and the face this is a sequel I have a pretty good gess as to whats the movies going to be about. And if things go the way I think they will I will probly be reviewing this right after I watch it so look forword to that .

otakunick reviews Wasurenagumo

Hey guys its otakunick again still working thew the backlog of animes that I had watched wall on my brake today its Wasurenagumo. One of the four anime works that each received 38 million yen (about US$470,000) from the "2011 Young Animator Training Project." Just like in 2010, the animation labor group received 214.5 million yen (US$2.65 million) from the Japanese government's Agency for Cultural Affairs, and it distributed most of those funds to studios who train young animators on-the-job.

   Wasurenagumo is a story about a middle aged used book store owner and his assistant. Who one day release an ancient spider demon from an old book the shop owner Suzuri Shu acquired for a privet collector. From there its a story about them tiring to sell the ridiculously cute demon away again be for it begins devouring people as it did in times past.

  Now then the animation is your standered production I.G art and by that I meen it looks good everything is animated well and thar are absalutly no real issues but as I stated in the first paragraph this OVA was brout about by up and coming animators so the art style is a bit ruff around the edges in fact this OVA kinda feels like what youd get if production I.G outsorced to studio Ghibli

the music thow used sparingly was good the OST contains a nice mix of more traditional Japanese scores to sum newer sounding stuff. But sum how remains consistent and blend well my favret of song would be the ending witch sum how manijes to sound bot traditional and new at the same time. Making shore sum thing that can be listened to constantly at lest for me.


The voice work is good the charters have sum pretty exserinsed talent behind them and every one seems to be having sum fun. So yea the voice work gets a pass but the only time you rely have to worry abouce bad dubs is when you get into the ENG dubs of anime.

Over all I think this is a OVA that should be seen. Not for anything ground braking it dose but just simply for the fact that for a 25 OVA it dose a good job at telling a story. A story mind you that feels like it should get atlest 2 or maby 3EP but they did great with what they got and deserve to have this seen.

con servile guide 2011

hey guys i know i have not dune one of theses since i first started the blog but starting this year i will be posting a yearly guide on how to get thew a anime con to help first time con goers and thows that still new to the hole con seen

first off know the cons in you area you may not allwas have to go out of state for a con so my first piece of advice is to fiend your local convention hall and see if there are anime cons taking place there because if htere is one it cud save you tons of gass or a plain ticket on a side note for all my readers in MA we happen to be vary lucky because we have a lot of options for cons there is PAX east, anime boston and afew smaller ones and aside from thows we are surrounded by states that have cons them selfs NY has comiccon and the NY anime festival and candace has cadedacon

once you have found a con to go to you shod take the time to read the cons rules that way you can avode getting kicked out for doing sum thing stupid  like running up to random people cosplaying as a charter you like and tackling them to the ground(not aloud at any con mind you) or sum thing along thos lines

working out transport bolth ways or a place to stay is a must if you can tire using public transportation (essayer on the wallet) ofcorse and if your getting a room at a nearby/connected hotel tire to fined sum pals to go in with you hotels for big name cons are pricey trust me

speeking of price it is allwas a mart idea to make a budget for yourself so you can buy mech, food and still pay for your way home/hotel room and wall we are at it tire to save up for the con over the hole year rather then tiering to come up with the money all at once (way less stressful)

now if you are going to cosplay please heed my advice on the flowing only cosplay charters you share a simpler build to you you are 350LBS you have no place cosplaying as agito from are gear like i have no place buccha or onigiri I am not tiring to be a dick i am just saying it dos not look right

 now depending on witch con you go to there cud be a shit ton of people for example when i pre-registered for anime boston i was in the high 20K and the number of at door regisers are lushly greater then the number of pre-reg so be shore to understand not everyone will have the same taste in anime as you so please don't go up you anime and say what they like is a tarabel show and if anyone ses it to you please just shrug them off because it dos not matter who started a fight the people who run the con will kick bolth you out

and on the topic of a lot of people at sum cons there will be long lines(and i meen long 5 to 8 hour long lines in sum cases ) so have sum thing to entertain yourself like a portable gaming devise, DVD player, MP3 player or book on hand incase you get stuck in a line with no one to talk to

also keep a water bottle handy as well its vary essay to get dehydrated or even get heat stroke (the latter of witch rely sucks when your in a 4 hour line )

if your plaining of going to the same con every year keep in mind that ware things where one dos not mean they will be there the next year so learn the halls full layout that way you can allwas find your way

now if you are with a group of  pals you mite want to set up a meet up location most cons will have a manga library or rest area these are alwas a good place to meet up

now if you fallow this guide you will be well on your way to servicing a anime convention and if any one has anything to add please let me now because this is a ever expanding guide to help people

talk about a blast from the past

apparently gonzo is making a new last Exile anime for 2011 and they clam it will not be a retelling or a re release but a all new anime with new story and characters now all this was sed at the TAF (tokyo anime fare) this is also announced that they are making this anime for spectroscopic 3D

now for this new anime gozo will be working with Range Murata character design murata has worked on such anime as blue sub #6 solty rei and most resently Shangri-La so we can probly see character design along the lines of Tetsu Hayami for the adult character and Kuniko Hojo for the kids witch is pretty mutch what it was like for the original last Exile anime

personally in nether thrilled nor am i dreading this anime tho i liked last exile it was not the best anime in the world and i am not expecting this new insulation in a pretty much dead franchise to make me say diffidently not to menchon the fact that this will be in 3D personally puts more doubts in my head then hope because 3D is a double edged sword when viewed shud be it dues give a good spectacle but when its viewed any other way its no war near as good nost 3D movies when viewed normally look no ware near as good for instance the new resident evil movie when you watch it in 3D all the slow motion dos not bother you because you have thing flying at you but when seen normally its just a movie that has way to much slow motion seens and i am afraid that this anime will end up like that but thats just what i think
