otakunick anime reviews (A-channel)

Well guys it's that time again one of the spring anime season has wrapped up and I'm here to give you my thoughts on it and let me just say if this review doesn't make you want to go out and watch this anime right now I really wouldn't be surprised. A-Channel really has to be one of the most plain anime I have watched in years and this is coming from a guy that watches between 10 and 20 anime a season but I still do opt out of some though.

A-Channels story revolves around the everyday life of four high school girls: the flighty Run, the reckless Tooru, the timid Yuuko, and the level-headed Nagi. Doesn't sound all the interesting right well that’s because it isn’t the one sentence really sums up all 12 episodes of this anime it really just feels like they plopped us right into the daily lives of these four girls and honestly I really don’t see a reason for anyone to rush out and watch this.

The animation looks good most of the time but they use this weird chibi-esque like face on all the characters but don’t make the body’s chibi, couple this with the characters already looking like noodle people and your just waiting for one of there necks to snap under the weight of their massive heads. I'm shore this worked in the manga because they’d crop into just the heads but for anime its just awkward.

Now the music is good that is if they didn’t use an insert song each episode to pad out the length of the episode, having one or two insert songs in an anime isn't that bad but seriously why every episode it really more of a hindrance then it is help.

So to wrap things up on this short review I really cant see why I didn’t drop this anime its easily one of the weakest series this season with no real redeeming features and I really don’t see any reason to say watch it so this ones really up to your own discretion guys.

a never ending nightmare

to thows who know me its no secret that I love horror movies Iv seen all the greats friday the 13th halloween and of corse the nightmare on elm street movies witch is what Il be talking about in this review yea yea I know your thinking WTF 2 none anime related posts one after another well sorry but dispite what people on the net may think I do like stuff other then anime and I like to talk about them from time to time

now for on to the review a nightmare on elm street is a re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality.(I know so origanol right) let me get out of the way and say if you seen one nightmare on elm st youv pretty moch seen them all including this one all the movies fallow a simaler pater kids sleep krueger kills kids find way to kill krueger rins wash repet the only reson to watch them all is to see how krueger kills thes people this is ware this move acholy meets its first down fall thars no real inmaganativ kills in this movie its all krueger just slashing and stabing no morphing no makeing sumone into a humen pupet nuthing

my next problem with this movie is the new look and actor for krueger the origanol krueger was played by Robert Englund as was evry krueger up till this new moview war they desied to go with Jackie Earle Haley
now dont get me wrong haley did a good job but he rely dusint have the krueger voice as englund did when I was watching the old elm st movies for the first time I alwas had nightmares thanks to englunds voice the raspyness of it rely pushed the fact that this guy was burnd alive ware as haleys voice relly didint do it for me his krueger vocie and is rachar voice are one and the same and yes the voice was raspy but it just wasint the same as when englund played krueger

the same gos for the face the new krueger looks fare to humen there was fare to much unburnt skin for my likeing and his nose was far to flat and ofcorse its not just the voice and the face that off about the new krueger is alot of the sutol movments and finger twiches that are gon it use to be any time you saw kruger talking he wood be flicking a finger or his wrist but in this movie we only see the twich once and its no so mutch a twich as it is him makeing a threat witch was a big turn off for me

thow even with thouse problems I do have to say it still feels like a nightmare on elm st movie and I do sagest that anyone who likes horror movies to atlest give it a trie

look out twilight real men can sparkol too

thats right they can and now in a wimpy way ether in the nadesico move akito sparkols in a totaly bad ass why your probly whondering how well go watch the movie and find the fuck out your self Martian Successor Nadesico - The Prince of Darkness is the sequell movie I talked about in my review of Martian Successor Nadesico it came out Aug 1, 1998 and as I sed had mixed feeling hear in the US becuse the game that takes place between the anime and movie never came out hear but over all I love it Its just as fun as the anime and abit more dark too (thow not much) the musice is pretty mutch the same as the animes with a nice ending thema called dearest by Yumi Matsuzawa

as for the story Two years have passed since the end of the "Martian Successor Nadesico" game a blink of three years. Akito and Yurika have dissapeared. The Jovians and the Earthlings have joined forces and Ruri is now captain of Nadesico B. As the popularity of Boson Jumping grows, a vast transportation network has been developed. Dubbed the Hisago Plan, this network of Chulip portals holds the answers to the mysteries behind Bose particles and their power. If those secrets should fall into the wrong hands, it could mean big trouble. And big trouble there is. A Martian splinter group has launched an offensive, leaving the United Forces befuddled and desperate. So much so, in fact, that the former crew of the Nadesico is called back to active duty for a special unsanctioned mission-to save us all. Does this menagerie of misfits have what it takes? Who will win the race for the Boson technology? And what the heck happened to Akito and Yurika?

over all like I sed befor I loved this movie the intier cast comes back at one pont or another and all do sumthing for the plot the new castmembers feel like they wher thar from the begining witch is good becuse that meens thy fit in nicely with the rest of the normol cast yes I was cunfused after watching it befor reading the synopsis of the game but once I did it filled in all the gaps over all I give Martian Successor Nadesico - The Prince of Darkness 9 class A boson jupers or of 10 this was a nice thing that XEBEC did for the nadesico fans true its not as good as if we got a nother anime but still its better then nuthing and its ending leve room for more (thow with it been 10 years alredy the chanses of them exspening on nadsieco are pretty slim) so if your a fan go pick this up
