OtakuHome News Deadmans wonderland manga to resume soon

The February 2013 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced on Wednesday that Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou's Deadman Wonderland survival action manga will be returning from hiatus on January 26 in the magazine's March issue. The announcement also revealed that the newest chapter will begin the manga's final arc. Kondou also announced the news on his Twitter account on Wednesday and posted a preview image. The image (pictured at right) says, "the final carnival begins."

The series took a break in April after Kataoka announced her pregnancy. Kataoka revealed on her blog in November that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy in July and would return to the series soon.

Kataoka and Kondou premiered the series in Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2006. Tokyopop published the first five volumes of the manga before the company shut down its North American publishing division last year. Kadokawa Shoten released the manga's 11th compiled volume in Japan in October 2011.

The manga received a 12-episode television anime adaptation last year, and Funimation released the series in North America on DVD in October. I cant tell you guys how happy this news made me when I got it. Im a big deadmans wonderland fan. I picked up the manga back in 07 and when I heard of  Kataoka pregnancy I did think for a short time that the manga may end up being droped or at lest have a rushed end. But thankfully the last arc will get to finish properly and I cant wait to read it.

OtakuHome News manga creator Kobayashi gets yet another death threat

Manga creator Yoshinori Kobayashi reported on Tuesday that the publisher Gentosha received a phone call earlier in the morning that said, "I will plant a bomb on the street that Kobayashi travels." Kobayashi said that the call has been reported to the police. As a manga creator, he is known for Gōmanism Sengen and other works that express his conservative, nationalistic views.

Update: This is the second year in a row that Kobayashi receved a threat on Christmas. Last year, the threat was, "I will set fire to anti-nuclear manga creators." Kobayashi became an anti-nuclear commentator after the March 2011 earthquake and the resulting crisis at the Fukushima nuclear reacto. storys like this rely piss me off whats wrong with being anti-nuclear  people shore its a good power sorce but its also one of the world most deadly wepons and truth be tolf I would think japan would be the absalutly last cuntry to whaint anything to do with nucks after WW2 but thats just me I geass

OtakuNick reviews Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!

Okay guys its the first review of the most resent season. And let me just say this is a cuntender for my beast anime of the season. it has its ups and downs like anime but what kyotoanimation did with the last EP just knocked this show right out of the park so without any ferther waiting lets get into the rundown.

Yuuta Togashi suffered from chuunibyou(8TH-Gradesyndrome) while he was in middle school. When he graduated, he put that dark history behind him and forgot about it... or he was supposed to. High school was smooth sailing and full of enjoyment—until the unavoidable, sad event occurs. The event that locks Yuuta into a contract with Rikka Takanashi and disrupts his desperately ordinary life. I know what your thinking this is just another slice of life anime from kyoani much like K-On but trust me this is anything but K-On aside from the visuals.

And speeking of the visuals just to get this out of the way yes Chuunibyou and K-On have the same Character Designer Ikeda, Kazumi but you know what other anime Ikeda, Kazumi did the Character Design for? No well let me tell you  Ikeda, Kazumi is the Character Designer for KEYs own Clannad and Clannad After story another anime that tuged at my heart. so needless to say yes i think the art is good its not great I would have liked it if he whent more twords the clannad dedign rather then the K-On ones but over all everything looks good.

Now then lets talk music Chuunibyou has a farly good original sound track nothing to wright home about but its better then alot of stuff that comes out in this day and age. So Id say its a above avrig OST. I probly whont be going to look for the soundtrack like I will be for say JOJOs OST but if I come acrose it Id probly pick it up. but thars are two tracks that I absalutly long and yes they are the OP and ENDing tracks I dont know why I just love them.

Okay now this is the part of the review I rely could not wait to get to the the voice work. the voice work in  Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is probly the best Iv seen come from kyotoanimation in years evry line is hits it mark when they what funny they get funn when they need depresiing they hit the nail on thehead. And more over you can rely just tell they Voice Actors where having a plast with this anime.

Over all Im sad that this show ended it was so great for a 12 Ep anime it just makes me whonder what they could have done with 24. so yes this is a must watch

OtakuHome News info in the new Macross 30th game

On Thursday, Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine unveiled all three modes of the YF-30 Chronos, the new transformable fighter designed by Macross co-creator Shoji Kawamori that will make its debut in next February's Macross 30: Ginga o Tsunagu Utagoe game for the PlayStation 3. The fully-rendered Fighter mode was already shown in last week's promotional video. Now then let me be the first to say Im not all that thriled by the new desing I meen I know most of the valcarys look simaler but this one just looks to much like the VF-25 for my tast and i see this as a step backwords in desing from the YF-29

Weekly Famitsu also introduced some of the different kinds of sub-quests that players can accept through the game's Valkyrie Guild: delivery, threat suppression, bounty hunting, and escort. The magazine highlighted the game's original paint schemes for the earlier variable fighters: VF-25, YF-29, and VF-1S. The new schemes are available as bonus extras in the limited "30th Anniversary Super Galaxy Box" edition and in pre-ordered copies of the game.

The game has two types of controls: the Type A modeled after the controls in such games as the PSP's Macross Trial Frontier and the PlayStation 3 mini-game Macross Last Frontier, and the Type B that allows the player to manually move the weapons lock-on cursor for pinpoint accuracy. The game's Easy setting (the loweest of the three difficulty levels) has an auto combat feature; when a novice toggles the feature on during the game, an AI will take over the controls and automatically fight the battle.

The brand-new story of this 30th-anniversary Macross title is set in 2060, 50 years after the Space War I conflict seen in the first Macross series and one year after the Vajra War seen in Macross Frontier. Above the planet Ouroboros in the far reaches of the galaxy, S.M.S. pilot Rion Sagaki (voiced by Miyu Irino) is suddenly attacked by an unknown enemy and shot down in his transformable variable fighter VF-25. There, he is rescued by the heroine Aisha Blanchett (Marina Inoue), the young Zentradi head of S.M.S.'s branch on Ouroboros.

Due to the intermittent space-fold faults known as "Ouroboros Aurora," Rion cannot immediately return home. He joins Aisha in investigating the planet's ruins, and while on an underground survey there, the two discover a sleeping girl named Miina Forte (Miss Macross 30 contest winner Haruka Chisuga). He later encounters his rival and former friend, pilot Rod Barutomaa (Mamoru Miyano) of the New U.N. Forces' special unit Hávamál.

The game will arrive in Japan on February 28 in standard and limited first editions, and both have about 113 minutes of voice actor interviews, as well as the in-game CG movies "Burning Fire" and "Get it on-Flying Rock" from the earlier Macross Ultimate Frontier and Macross Triangle Frontier games.

Japanese film distributor TOHO unveiled its 2013 lineup on Thursday, and among the titles are the live-action film adaptation of the classic Tatsunoko Productions science-fiction hero anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. The film will open in Japan on August 24.

OtakuNews more gundam cafe's to open in japan

Bandai announced plans on Friday to expand its Gundam Café chain into the Osaka, Nagoya, Hiroshima, and similar metropolitan areas. The company will open a third Tokyo cafe at the main Tokyo Station's First Avenue area on Thursday.

There are already two Tokyo-area Gundam Cafés open at the Akihabara Japan Railway station and on Odaiba island. There was a Gundam Café — the first official Gundam-themed restaurant — in the Bandai Museum in the nearby city of Matsudo before the museum closed in 2006.

The Akihabara café receives about 400,000 customers per year with sales exceeding Bandai's 200-million-yen (about US$2.4-million) target. needless to say that if I was in the area I would go but sadly Im to poor to funt a trip to japan just to eat and drink gundam themed foods and drinks.

OtakuNews New higarashi anime to be made

The official Twitter account for the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry - Higurashi) anime franchise confirmed on Saturday that a relaunch of the anime has been green-lit. The announcement of the new anime was made at the 10th anniversary event of the franchise on Saturday, and its planned unveiling will be next spring.

The new Higruashi no Naku Koro ni Kaku anime will adapt the short story "Higurashi Outbreak" by Higurashi no Naku Koro ni creator Ryukishi07 (07th Expansion). Toshifumi Kawase, the series script supervisor of the previous Higurashi anime projects and the director of Higurashi no Naku Koroni Rei, is helming the new anime.

"Higurashi Outbreak" is set in the same Hinamizawa village of the previous stories. The village has been completely sealed off due to a mysterious virus in 1983, and Keiichi Maebara and Rena Ryūgū deal with the outbreak. Souichiro Hoshi and Mai Nakahara, the original voices of these two protagonists, appeared at Saturday's event before an estimated 700 fans.

07th Expansion's original Higurashi no Naku Koro ni visual novel software revolved around murders that coincide with an annual festival in a quiet rural village. The software inspired two television anime series, several video anime projects, two live-action films, and manga adaptations by several artists.

The game publisher MangaGamer licensed the rights to translate the original visual novel software for personal computers, and it has released them in English. Funimation took over North American distribution of the first Higurashi television anime series from Geneon Entertainment and released the first DVDs in 2008. North America's Yen Press acquired the Higurashi manga for its Yen Plus anthology magazine and later for compiled book volumes.

OtakuNews two new ghibli movies to be released this summer

Studio Ghibli and its distributor TOHO officially announced Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Is Rising) and Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kaguya), the latest films from studio co-founders and directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, on Thursday. Both are scheduled to open throughout Japan next summer.

In February 2009, Miyazaki launched a two-part manga mini-series called "Kaze Tachinu" that focuses on Jirō Horikoshi, the designer of Japan's famed Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter plane of World War II. Author Tatsuo Hori also wrote a novel called Kaze Tachinu, and the film's tagline references both real-life figures and paraphrases Hori's book: "Show respect for Jiro Horikoshi and Tatsuo Hori. We must try to live." (Hori himself was reportedly quoting Paul Valéry's "Le cimetière marin" or "The Graveyard By The Sea" poem, which read, "Le vent se lève! . . . il faut tenter de vivre!" or "The wind is rising! . . . We must try to live!")

Frequent Miyazaki collaborator Joe Hisaishi is composing the music of the film. Miyazaki is not only directing the film, but he conceived the story and wrote the screenplay himself. This will be the first film from Miyazaki since Ponyo about five years ago.

The famous Japanese folktale Taketori Monogatari (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter) centers on princess named Kaguya who was discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. Taketori Monogatari has inspired dozens of manga and anime stories, such as Reiko Shimizu's Kaguya Hime and Arina Tanemura's Sakura-Hime Kaden.

Takahata already revealed in 2009 that his next film will be based on the folktale. The tagline on the film's website reads, "A princess's crime and punishment."

Shinichiro Ikebe (Future Boy Conan, Akira Kurosawa's Kagemusha) is composing the film's soundtrack. Takahata conceived the story and co-wrote the screenplay with Riko Sakaguchi. This will be Takahata's first film since My Neighbors the Yamadas about 14 year ago.

TOHO had already registered the domains for the websites for these two films, but it opened the websites on Thursday.

Both films will open on the same day, but separately. The last time that Miyazaki and Takahata had films opening on the same day, or even in the same year, was a quarter of a century ago when Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro and Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies were shown back-to-back in Japan in 1988.

OtakuNick Reviews Zone of the Enders: Idolo Blu-ray remaser

Hey guys its me OtakuNick and Im hear with a review Iv been wanting to do for so long. As sum of you might alredy know when it comes to Kojimas games I hold his Zone of the enders games above the metal gear solid games. I dont know why myself I think MGS is fun but ZOE just has sumthing more to it that rely lends to kojimas style of wrighting. Anyway what I will be reviewing today is not the ZOE games but a spin off OVA that comes befor the Games and the subsaquent full langth anime serries zone of the enders Dolores I. so please sit back and enjoy

Z.O.E. 2167 Idolo will take place a few years prior to the events of the series Z.O.E Dolores,i, and is centered on the "Deimos Incident," an act of terrorism by the Mars revolutionaries.

The BAHRAM army pilots Radium and Viola are the best in their class, and have such have been chosen to do spearhead testing on a new type of weapon; Mars hopes this weapon will liberate them from the UNSF's (United Nations Space Force) tyranny. This new technology called the "Orbital Frame," and is powered by an extreamly rare and powerful source of energy known as metatron ore.

This OVA depicts the Deimos incident, and the story leading up to this incident. That pretty much sums up the plot but after re watching this OVA I will have to admit even thow it takes place befor the anime and the games this is sumthing that truly cant be apresheated untill youv seen the anime and played the games. But evebn if you havent it is a good story its just fans of the other work will apresheat it more.

As for the art the old desings have taken well to the blu-ray upscal. ofcorse its not perfect the aspect reshio is a bit wierd going more vertacal then harazontal. But thats probly due more to the OVA being made in a squared format like 480P but all the models look good and the colors are much brighter and pop nicly.

But if thare is one thing I have to say I loves hands down about this OVA its the sound track just like the games this OVA has scors in it that are just bone chillingly beautiful espesholy the ending  Kiss Me Sunlights by  Heart of Air witch is also the opening theme of the first zone of the enders game witch is so fitting that it hurts

last on my list of things to go thew is the voice work witch is rely good. My first time watching this was back when I was in midel school and I saw it Dub so this was my first time watching the OVA in japanese and I have to say the japanese blows the old dub away hands down the better voice work. but both are good.

Over all this is a absalut must see for ZOE fans and truth be told if your a ZOE fan and you havent seen this whats wrong with you. but for all you reguler mecha fans that have never heard of ZEO in any way shape or form this is a good OVA and it is a good way to get into the franchis. Witch with the ZEO HD coletion out now you rely dont have a reson to not to try and get into.

OtakuNews New Kenshin OVA to come to US

The North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday that it has licensed the Rurouni Kenshin ~ New Kyoto Arc (Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen) video anime project. The company will release the two-episode series digitally, and then on bilingual DVD and Blu-ray Disc next year.

The new anime series remakes the Kyoto story arc of Nobuhiro Watsuki's original manga and the previous anime adaptation. In particular, it depicts the battle of Kenshin Himura and Makoto Shishio and is told from the point of view of the Oniwabanshū ninja Misao Makimachi.

Director Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Studio DEEN returned after nine years to animate the new series along with musical composer Noriyuki Asakura. Mari Okada (AnoHana, Wandering Son) wrote the scripts this time. Hiromitsu Hagiwara (Saint Beast ~Ikusen no Hiru to Yoru Hen~) is the new character designer, and Hiro Kaburaki (Kimi ni Todoke) took over as the episode director. The cast remains the same except for the role of Hajime Saitō, who will be played by Ken Narita.

The second half of the project screened in 10 Japanese theaters in June, and then shipped on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in August.  I rely thinking of sngaing this one when it comes out. I alredy have the intier manga dna anime seres along with the OVAs so I may as well also grab this one

OtakuNews Sword Art Online PSP game out in march

Namco Bandai Games began streaming the second television commercial for its Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment game for the PSP system on Monday. For the game, original novelist Reki Kawahara supervised a brand-new original story that begins from the 75th floor of the floating Aincrad labyrinth.

The limited first edition version will bundle the "Together with Asuna Aincrad Date Edition" DVD. The animated disc will feature an original story from Kirito's perspective with "high precision" 3D character modeling.

The limited version will also include a "game special movie" CG anime DVD that ties in with the Aincrad story arc and game. A special box with exclusive visual art by original novel illustrator abec, an original game soundtrack CD, a special booklet, and an original custom PSP game theme will complete the limited edition set.

Namco Bandai Games will release this "live-in-this-moment-with-you RPG" in Japan on March 14, 2013. The regular and downloadable versions will cost 6,280 yen (about US$79), while the limited edition will retail at 9,980 yen (US$125). I think this is a pretty cool idea thow I would much rather see a game set in the time line of SAO but have no real conection to the main cast. it would alow the chanse to broden the game world and give the frachis it self sum more longjevaty.

Now I am rely happy aout this manly do to the fact that in the last 10 years I have seen alot of anime distributers fall one after the other ADV, 4kids, and bandai to name just a few. So seeing a distributer open its doors rather then close them is good news to me. Also the idea of not only bring ing anime over from japan but make sum animation serries for the US sounds like sumthing the other distributers shpuld have started atlest 5 years ago.

OtakuNick Reviews Momo e no Tegami (a letter to momo)

Hey guys I know its a bit latter then I sed it be her but I finally got around to watching a letter to momo. So befor I make you wait any longer hears the review.

First up is the story  Momo is a young girl who grew up in a big city. However, following the premature loss of her father, she has to move with her mother to the old family house on a remote island. Here, time seems to have stopped: old wooden buildings, holy shrines surrounded by trees, fields painstakingly carved out from steep hills.

momo's heart is still feeling uneasy about an unfinished letter left by her father. A letter that contained only two words: "Dear Momo..."

One day, exploring the attic of her new big house, Momo finds a dusty and worn out book. And from that moment, something really unexpected starts happening around he. what may that be well thats for you guys to find out because Im not saying its to good of a movie to do that.

Now most of you mite think this is a ghible from how the art looks but no this is a prodoction IG movie and the  Art Director is non other then Ohno Hiroshi. Whos Ohno Hiroshi you ask well hes non other then the Art Director of God Mazinger witch is the sudo Sequel to the Great Mazinger witch is to this day one of the all time clasics of mecha.

the voice work in this anime is good not all that ground bracking but the cast do a good job and speeking of the cast its full of a mix of old talent that never rely got big and new talent. But they all do as I sed a good job

okay I will say one bad thing about this moive the sound trak isint all that good. Truth be told I didint rely hear any of it during the movie. Shis seems to be one of thos movies that takes the soundtrak vary sparingly. But I rely do thing a bit more music could have rely don sum good but what do I know Im only a otaku how has watched 741 anime all the way thew.

Over all Im gana have to say this is a much watch for the story alone all the other parts ether just do there job or fall short abit but the story is rely what gets you and holds you in.

Washington D.C.'s Smithsonian American Art Museum previously hosted "The Art of Video Games" exhibition from March 16 to September 30. OtakuNews Minna! Esper Dayo manga gets live action show

2013's first issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine is announcing on Monday that a live-action television adaptation of Kiminori Wakasugi's All Esper Dayo! (Minna! Esper Dayo!) manga has been green-lit. The psychic comedy follows an ordinary (virgin) high school boy named Yoshirō "Yocchan" Kamogawa. His life changes overnight when he wakes up with the ability to read other people's minds.

Yoshirō is not the only one to gain powers in his town. Teru-oichan, an (apparently virgin) worker at a café near Yoshirō's school, gains telekinesis — but he uses it for sex toys. Yōsuke Enomoto, a (probably virgin) senior and former basketball player at Yoshirō's high school, gains teleportation — but only while naked.

Wakasugi launched the manga in Weekly Young Magazine in 2009, shortly before he ended the popular comedy Detroit Metal City the following year. Kodansha has since published two compiled book volumes of All Esper Dayo!

Wakasugi's other ongoing comedy manga is the Fist of the North Star spoof Kappei. Viz Media published Detroit Metal City in North America, and New Pictures released Toshio Li's live-action film adaptation with Ken'ichi Matsuyama (Gantz, Death Note, NANA) in the lead role.

okay am I the only one that thinks that this live action project will turn out to be one of thows WTF japan shows.Im still intarested in how this will turn out and it seems to have sum good talent behind it but still two of the charters just make the show seem like alot of weird stuff is going to go down

otaku news we may get more gundam rage(age) in one form or another

The official Twitter account for the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime posted a rough sketch of the characters Asemu and Zeheart by designer Michinori Chiba on Wednesday. According to producer Masakazu Ogawa, the staff is considering plans for presenting more of the two characters' story in some form. The staff did not say that more anime has been green-lit. Chiba drew this sketch for these tentative plans, which Ogawa previously mentioned in September.

Asemu was the main character of the second generation in Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime, and Zeheart was a major antagonist of his. The television series premiered in October of 2011, and it ended on September 23, 2012, shortly before Ogawa mentioned the tentative plans.

okay I know the show rely went down hill in the latter part of the last genaration and the second gen rely didint get much. so please dont hate me for hopeing that we do get more of the seconed genartion in anime form. out of all three I think the 2nd gen had the most potenchal out of the three to do sum cool stuff. But being that it was the 2nd gen it rely didint get the love it deserved. so Im going to be optamistic about this okay guys.

otakunew Louis Vuitton is going to Designs Hatsune Miku's Costume for a Opera?

For THE END opera that will be held on December 1 and 2 at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media in Yamaguchi City, director Toshiki Okada and digital music artist Keiichirō Shibuya decided to collaborate with French fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton artistic director Marc Jacobs is designing the outfits that Vocaloid idol character Hatsune Miku will wear onstage.

No humans will appear onstage during the opera, even to play the instruments. Instead, Vocaloids will take their place, taking over every aria and recitative. The "actors'" onstage images are designed by artist YKBX (also known as Masaki Yokobe), who is known for his video "amazarashi." Shohei Shigematsu, an architect and a partner of OMA New York, is designing the stage.

The clothes Hatsune Miku will wear are clothes based off of Mark Jacobs' spring/summer 2013 collection that were altered in order to fit the virtual singer's body type and unique style. As this is the very first time that outfits from Louis Vuitton will lack the label's signature monogram symbol, the outfits will instead be using a pattern similar to the Louis Vuitton's familiar diamond pattern. The purses have been altered from the standard Louis Vuitton bag into cubical and square shapes to accentuate to the geometric themes.

Tickets were available for pre-order for 3,000 yen (about US$37), but were sold out as of November 14.  you know I rely cant wate to see how this turns out I hope they sell coppys of the praformense cose i think I am going to whant one

otakunews Seed Destiny getting a HD remaster too

The official live stream of the 50th and final episode of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed HD Remaster Project ended with an announcement on Friday of an HD Remaster Project for the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny anime.

The Gundam Seed HD Remaster began streaming on the Bandai Channel service last December before running on the BS11 satellite channel and the Tokyo MX TV station this year. The fourth Mobile Suit Gundam Remaster box will be released in Japan on December 21 with a price of 15,485 yen (about US$191).

I dont know about you guys but I rely do think this is a big wast of bandais money. The seed franchis is no ware as big as it once was and even if they only do a bare minimum of upscale like they did for the first seed remaster this will probly cost more then it could bring in. That is unless for sum reson there is a massive group of seed fans perficly willing to get riped off by paying outrageus prises formost bare bone relese

otakunick reviews Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi)

Hey guys otaku nick hear with a new review today its Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai or as its beter known hear in the US Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. Now befor we get to the brake down let me just say I love this show back when I was in middle school my lintier week revolved around getting home and looking thew OnDemands anime network for the new episode I loved this show. and it acholy was not till a year latter that I leered why I loved it so much you see this is a co-production by sum of my favret studios gainax and madhouse thats right the same two studios that respectivly gave us Evangelion and black lagoon worked to geather to make this show

the story is as fallows Imamiya Satoshi, "Sasshi" to his friends, has grown up in the Abenobashi Shopping Arcade in Osaka, along with his childhood friend, Asahina Arumi. Now, all that was stable in his life is in ruins. His family's bath house has closed and been torn down, and Arumi's family is moving to Hokkaido - and taking her with them. In the midst of all this, something happens to the framework of reality, and Sasshi and Arumi slip into a weird parallel world. It's still Abenobashi, but not their Abenobashi. Strange things are afoot, and Sasshi must find out their meaning, in order to reach a goal that he barely understands. Now then I know this dosint sound as good as Im makeing it out to be but trust me when I say that this story is good in fact Id say the energy of this show is more akin to gainaxes FLCL that aird one year erlyer

the are is well prbly the weekest part of the show dot get me wrong for the most part the art could stand up to anything that came out this year but I can only say that because I am a fan on the lat 90s and early 2000s art styles but I do get that the mix of realistic  traits and exaggerated ones in anime has long fallen out of favor its normally one or the other now a days but for this show and all the weird stuff that happens it rely good to have a mix of the two

music is your standard affair for a comedy for its time up beet and energetic but one this still pops into my head all the time when thinking of this show and that its opening this was the first anime I watch witch had a oping that didint just souns like it was made for the show but was a song in and of it self witch for me up to that time was unheard of please note back then I was manly watching anime from the 60s and 70s so most ops where in fact made for the shows and even the 90s anime had yet to rely brake that habit.

Now for the voice work I know this is probly going to get me plenty of flack but I am a big fan of the ENG dub of this show. I have watched in both English and Japanese but I thing the ENG dub just has a bit more to offer in the comedy department. But both versions are good I myself just like the ENG version more.

But yea over all i say give this one a look for its time it was funny as hell. Tho I will admite that the jokes may fall flate in this day and age but I rely dont care as no mater how many time i wath this show I allways find sumthing to laugh at.

otaku news Noboru Yamaguchi back in the hospital

Zero no Tsukaima (The Familiar of Zero) author Noboru Yamaguchi reported on Sunday that he has been readmitted into a hospital for another surgery. He had just returned to work, and he wanted to resume his Zero no Tsukaima novels at the beginning of next year. However, he thinks this is now unfeasible and apologized to his readers for the wait. He vowed to continue writing when his health returns "no matter what," and thanked everyone for the words of encouragement.

Yamaguchi had confirmed last year that he had advanced-stage cancer that was originally considered inoperable. However, during an unrelated gallstone surgery, the cancerous growth was confirmed to have shrunk in size. Yamaguchi then learned that there was surgery that he could have that might cure the cancer. He reported later that August that this surgery ended without incident.

He returned to the hospital at the end of last year and spent Christmas Eve there since his health was not back to normal yet. However, he left the hospital and was planning to resume his work this year.

Yamaguchi had been writing the final series arc of the Zero no Tsukaima light novels, and had planned to end the light novels this year before his cancer diagnosis and subsequent operation. Zero no Tsukaima F, the fourth and final anime series premiered this past January.

I dont know about you guys but I rely feel bad for yamaguchi. All the man whants is to get back to work and when ever it looks like he will be able to his health just drops like a rock in the ocean. I myself havent read his light novels but I have watched the anime based off his work including green green witch is a show I reviewed right hear. So I hope youl all be with me in wiching MR yamaguchi a speedy recovery.

You know guys this is the second story Iv posed this month about anime movies being shown hear in US theaters. And gess what just like the modaka movies Im not going to be able to go see this one ether because I live in Massachusetts insted of california. Its not rely that big of a deal in the long run But it rely just gets to me sumtimes you know. MA is home to one of the USAs largest anime conventions around but when it comes time to show a anime they chose plases that dont rely make much seces to me. But what ever anime Boston is more of a compasation for this little upset.

otakunews J-Cast: Gainax Not Contacted About Victoria Secret's Evangelion plug suit Lookalike

The J-Cast Japanese website reported on Thursday that Gainax indicated that it had not been contacted by Victoria's Secret regarding the Evangelion lookalike outfit (pictured at right) that model Jourdan Dunn wore during the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion show held in New York City on November 7. J-Cast added that Gainax only learned about the outfit from the Internet and was perplexed by the situation.

The annual event features the undergarment and lingerie chain's "Angels" models showing off the company's latest designs accompanied by popular musical artists. The fashion show will air in the United States on CBS on December 4 at 10:00 p.m. EST/9:00p.m. CST.

Victoria's Secret has yet to make an official comment to the press on the issue. I dont know about you guys but I absalutly love news like this. consitering thars is no way in hell that Victoria's Secret can even try to denie the resemblence of there new product to Reis plug suit from gainax's  Evangelion anime wich mind you came out in the 90s. meeing that the designer knew exsactly what he or she was doing witch rely puts Victoria's Secret in a place they probly rather not be in cunsitering evangelions popularity. I will be shore to report on any new develaments for this storys that I can find as I myself would like to know what going to happen from this point on.
