first thoughts on nana to kaoru

hey guys i am back with the next anime i started in this new spring line up and today its ep one of a new OVA called you guessed it nana to kaoru now be for i get into this i must make a disclaimer this OVA is MA only so if your under the age of 18 this post is not for your eyes tho i will not be putting up any X rated IMG this OVA covers ideas not meant for young viewers and i clam  no responsibly if you don't heed my warning and get caught watching this 


now with that out of the way the story is as fallowed

Kaoru is a 17-year old virgin who has an S&M fetish. He has always dreamt about an SM relationship with his childhood friend Nana, who is looked upon as perfect and is always the target of boys' eyes. Their relationship has somewhat deteriorated through the years, due to them hanging out with different people and because Kaoru is not taking his education too seriously. One day though, Kaoru's mother gives some of his S&M toys to Nana for safekeeping - Nana finds the leather one-piece that Kaoru bought and tries it on but accidentally locks herself in it and doesn't have the key! Kaoru frees her of the one-piece, but then Nana realizes she may like Kaoru's hobby more than she thought and subsequently the two of them start engaging in so-called "breathers". These breathers are intended to relieve Nana of stress, stress originating from her attempts at keeping her grades and her name perfect. thats right every one this is a S&M OVA now you are probably wondering why the hall would i review this or even watch this and thow id have no problem telling you personally i feel its best if i refrain from that explanation and just focus on the facts of the OVA  now nana to kauro started out as a manga written by Amazume, Ryuta who has written about 14 other manga all of witch deal with sex and discovering ones sexuality so as you can see this is not just a one time thing the writer thought would be a fun project Amazume is well versed and quite good at this type of story i for one have acholy picked up nana to kaoru's manga  resently and tho iv only read a chapter or so i can tell that the writer has don his resherch on the topic and is being vary therow the OVA of nana to kauro is being produced by AIC Plus+ the same people that gavet us Asobi ni Iku yo!  and is being detected by Okamoto, Hideki who oddly enough has detected a few personal Favorite's of mine such as After War Gundam X and Gasaraki so i am looking forwerd to see how he Handels a anime like this now the art style of this OVA is sum thing you would probably be more used to seeing in a hentai but it is rely fathfully to the original art and i rely cod not pitcher it in any other style with a story like this you need a art style that can properly depict the human form with proper pa portions witch is exactly what this art dos So now it comes down to weather or not I recommend this OVA and well I am a bit conflicted on this because yes this is pretty much a like hentai but then again there is NO sex in this unlike shows like Yosuga no Sora and the story is interesting so realy like Dog Days this is completely up to you personally i like this but my reasons for liking it are my own and i can't base a reccomendation on them so you will need to decide hopefully this post will help you do just that.

beginners guide to buying anime part 3 (good anime)

well guys i am back with a nuthere installment of beginners guide to buying anime this time i will be giving a rundown of sum good anime and manga that are all reddy hear in the US but befor i do that let me just quickly tell you what i think makes a good anime or manga

first of it needs to have a good story don't get me wrong it i am not expecting perfection all the time it just needs to properly convey what the writer whats to say sounds easy but there are a lot of horribly executed stories out there next up the charters even if a animes story is great if your charters a uninteresting no one will watch it and the last thing is the art now for me this is the lest in portent thing i can forgive a anime for having bad art if it has a good story

with that that out of the way lets get down to it hers a list of good anime and manga thats out in the US

1. rurouni kenshin(anime and manga): this is a older anime and manga from the 90s but to this day remains one of my all time favorite the anime is 95 ep tho sadly after the kyoto arc it cot up with the manga and subsequently deviated from the mangas story resorting in a Farly sub par anime ending when compared to the manga witch is 28 vols 
2. get backers: yet another great anime from the 90s the story tho slow to start is rely great and the cast just makes you want to watch it witchis good because this anime has two seasons bolth of witch are out on DVD(tho by ADV so they mite be hard to find) 
3. utawareumono: a anime from the the early 2000's witch was based of a action VN(visual novel) is story is rely fun and has a unbelievable plot wist at the end 
4. yu yu hakusho: do i rely need to say why anyone who watched toonami in the mid 90's knows this was a great anime and with its new think pack box sets it tale up less space on your self and leaves more cash in your wallet being only 21$ a season
5. outlaw star: just like yu yu hakusho if you watched toonami in the 90's you shud already now just how great this anime is sadly this is one of the harder anime to find even tho there are 2 releases for it 
6. cowboy bebop: now this show is a must own for all anime fans the story is top class the charters are great and even being mad in the 90's it still looks great

beginners guide to buying anime part 2 (collectibles)

hey guys its been a quite a bit since i did the first one of this new little project of mine so i figged i would give you guys the next interment this time i will be talking about collectibles witch ones are worth it witch ones are not and the best ways to find the ones you want

first let me explainwhat type of collectible i am talking about i am not talking about sum thing like a figma that can be obtained Farly easily i am talking about stuff like film strips and animation cells witch are hard to come by well film strips not so much anymore with the introduction of giving them away to people at screenings of anime movies and in the special edition BD boxes

so wall we are on the topic of film strips il cover thos first yes they are geting esyer to find but they are still good collectible to have and gives any fan that has one sum thing to remember the movie by other then a pamphlet or a ticket stub and the same gos for animation cells they are great pices for any fans colletion tho unlike film strips thes are much harder to find and ushaly cost a arm and a leg to get i have seen a cell of rei ayanami go for over 10 grand so colleting cells isint rely werth it if you find a good deal on one i say go for it but never bankrup yourself for one

now limited edition mechendice can also be a good or a bad thing to have in a collection depending on your beget but are ushaly still much cheaper then a animation cell so thats rely up to you over all if you what to get a collectible just do not go over Bord and put yourself into a hole by getting it and of corse not everything is a good collectible if your buying sum thing like whats in the pic above and thinking it was a good buy you shood see a shrink

beginners guide to buying anime part 1(where and how to buy)

hey guys it me otaku nick and this post i will be talking a detour from my normal reviews in order to post sum thing that will help the new fans to anime among otaku homes readers this seres of posts will be made in between my normal posts and will focus on helping the new fan learn what anime are good ideas to buy and what ones are better left alone as well as give you tips on when and where to buy anime at great deals

so lets get started first off do not trust best buy to have a good selection of anime in the past 5 years iv seen the anime section in my local best buy dwindle from 3 isles to less then 5 cramped rows this will probable vary from store to store but your better off going to a store that deal in comics and or other subcultural like Newbury comics or sumthing along thows lines thay may not alwas have more but i can say from exsperic thay ushaly have better quolaty stuff and for much better prices

aside from chain stores look to your local comic shops thows at the varry list will have manga among other merch as well such as models figurs wall scrolls ECT amd if they dont thay may be willing to order them for you if you yourself dont know whar to find them online

speeking of buying online thar are plenty of stores to do that one online store i use all the time is rightstuff they offer great deals you if you know how to look for them in the bargen bin section you cud find anything in that from DVDs under 2$ to plushy

another place to buy is at conventions now this is where you need to be carfull it is extremely easy to go over Bord my first time at anime boston i blew 200$ on crap so hear are my 5 rules for buying at a con

1. make a shopping list this will help you know what you rely want to get and once you have that out of the way you are free to fined other stuff wall at the same time getting what you wanted

2. know your shopping days at a con you want just be spending all your time in the dears room in most cons the first two day are full of stuff to do and the last day is usually slow so use that to your advantage get the stuff on your list the first day and go back on the last day to see if you can find sum great deals

3. look all around the dealers room be for buying anything you may com across sum stuff on your list right off the bat don not buy it right away look around first you may find it cheaper

4. get the stuff that will sell out the quickest first and the slowest last stuff like animation cells sell like hot cakes and if your looking for stuff like that be shore thats what you get first because i can guarantee you they will not be there at the end of the day where as stuff like DVDs can be held off on due to the fact that they ushaly sell slower

5.remember food is just as in portent as merch if you want to buy sum thing but all you have left is food money you need to way your options id what you want to buy rely worth not eating

know is you fallow this tips you will be well on your way to knowing what, whare and how to buy anime and anime merch in the next part will will be giving you a run dwon on anime and manga i feel shod be in every anime fans colection and what ones shod be avowed like the black death

thats right I got my hands on a copy of macross f the false songstress the first of two macross f movies that reteale the story of macross f in a completly difrent way I meen rely if you go into this exspecting a compalation like the gundam movies then be perpared to be dead wrong becuse aside from one or 2 evants(witch even thows are sumwhat difrent to the anime) this is a hole new macross f the over all story remans the same alto whants to fly ranka whant to sing shit hits the fan all the normol stuff youed exspet from macross but still this movie is alot better to the origanol anime in so many ways

the first of witch is the art macross F came out when CGI was just becomeing the norm for anime and yes it looked good for its time but the cg valcarys didint quite fit in with the hand drown city when it came toy the tv serres but in this movie evrything looks like it fight right togeather and the fights(however few thare wher) wher great


the next thing on my list is the OST yea what do you exspet its macross ofcors its gana have a nice OST and hell thare are alot of singing songs in the movie Iv must have seen the lirics pop up on screen atlest 10 to 15 times thewout the movie witch I never once mined becuse thar songs I love Il never get tierd of aimo thow one song I wood have loved to hear in this movie was missing and that was triangel the first OP from the anime I understand why its not thare but still it wood have been nice to throw it in but other then that no real complaints


along with the songs and art the animation quolaty was amazing aswell then again I was waching it in 1080P so evrything was alredy going to look great but the fights realy wher brout up to a hole new level with this that it cud never get wen it first came out on tv it got so visholy intens that at one pont I had to puse it so I cud let my eyes rest a bit

ovcorse not evrything in this movie is good it sufers from random cuts meening that people end up places with no rime or reson for instens in the movie after ranka has a fight with ozuma about her singing and she runs off we get a cut to him being in a car with Cathy whar in the prier seen he was in his house how or why he gets into the car will be a complet lose to anyone who hasent seen the anime other then that this movie relly stands on its own 2 feet

over all I have to say fly out and find this movie and watch it if your a fan of macross and if this is your first introduction to macross then I say go back and watch from the first serres and come back becuse youl be better off that way and speeking of old macross anime in the prevews for the next movie we are treted to sumthing rely cool a VF-1s in niki basaras color skeem what this meens I have no clue but if basara shows up to sing with sherly and ranka I will litaraly shit bricks
