On Thursday, Enterbrain's Weekly Famitsu magazine unveiled all three modes of the YF-30 Chronos, the new transformable fighter designed by Macross co-creator Shoji Kawamori that will make its debut in next February's Macross 30: Ginga o Tsunagu Utagoe game for the PlayStation 3. The fully-rendered Fighter mode was already shown in last week's promotional video. Now then let me be the first to say Im not all that thriled by the new desing I meen I know most of the valcarys look simaler but this one just looks to much like the VF-25 for my tast and i see this as a step backwords in desing from the YF-29
Weekly Famitsu also introduced some of the different kinds of sub-quests that players can accept through the game's Valkyrie Guild: delivery, threat suppression, bounty hunting, and escort. The magazine highlighted the game's original paint schemes for the earlier variable fighters: VF-25, YF-29, and VF-1S. The new schemes are available as bonus extras in the limited "30th Anniversary Super Galaxy Box" edition and in pre-ordered copies of the game.
The game has two types of controls: the Type A modeled after the controls in such games as the PSP's Macross Trial Frontier and the PlayStation 3 mini-game Macross Last Frontier, and the Type B that allows the player to manually move the weapons lock-on cursor for pinpoint accuracy. The game's Easy setting (the loweest of the three difficulty levels) has an auto combat feature; when a novice toggles the feature on during the game, an AI will take over the controls and automatically fight the battle.
The brand-new story of this 30th-anniversary Macross title is set in 2060, 50 years after the Space War I conflict seen in the first Macross series and one year after the Vajra War seen in Macross Frontier. Above the planet Ouroboros in the far reaches of the galaxy, S.M.S. pilot Rion Sagaki (voiced by Miyu Irino) is suddenly attacked by an unknown enemy and shot down in his transformable variable fighter VF-25. There, he is rescued by the heroine Aisha Blanchett (Marina Inoue), the young Zentradi head of S.M.S.'s branch on Ouroboros.
Due to the intermittent space-fold faults known as "Ouroboros Aurora," Rion cannot immediately return home. He joins Aisha in investigating the planet's ruins, and while on an underground survey there, the two discover a sleeping girl named Miina Forte (Miss Macross 30 contest winner Haruka Chisuga). He later encounters his rival and former friend, pilot Rod Barutomaa (Mamoru Miyano) of the New U.N. Forces' special unit Hávamál.
The game will arrive in Japan on February 28 in standard and limited first editions, and both have about 113 minutes of voice actor interviews, as well as the in-game CG movies "Burning Fire" and "Get it on-Flying Rock" from the earlier Macross Ultimate Frontier and Macross Triangle Frontier games.

Well today is the macross franchises 30 birthday so I thought I make a post about it. Im not going to review the animes as I have alredy done so see otakunick anime reviews (Macross Frontier: sayonara tsubasa) , and the songs go on , bomber do you remember appels, this macross is far from a zero, and fighter jets aliens and singing oh my to read reviews of all the macross animes and most of the movies. Because this post isint about review this anime hell I dont care if you even watch any of them this post is souly to thank macross and its creater Kawamori, Shoji for all the fun anime to watch. Now then normaly Id be celebrating a mile stone like this by marathoneing one of the shows I have not wached Like I did for gundams 30th. But sadly i cant do that as I have seen all of macross so insted hear I am giving thanks for such a great mecha franchis. So thank you kawamori you have us fighter jets that turn in to robots giant warmongering aliens and you made mari iijima one of the most well known pop stars among mecha fanboys oh and you also gave us missile spam thank you so much I wish you the best.
Hey guys its me Otakunick and boy do i have a treat for all my readers that are Macross fans. Well atlest the ones that don't think frontier is a steaming heap of shit. That's tight the second of the new Macross F movies has found its way to me and i have to say i rely did love it.
First off lets talk plot picking up from where the previous movie left off, Ranka's star career flourishes while Sheryl's health rapidly deteriorates after collapsing during a live performance. At the same time, separate factions are maneuvering behind the scenes seeking to control the Vajra horde by utilizing the singing abilities of the two songstresses. As the entire Macross Frontier fleet begins to wage the final war on the Vajra, Alto finally makes a choice between Ranka and Sheryl. That's right the princess himself makes up his mind ending what has probly been the most fought over love triangle in Macross history. Who dose his pick you ask well that's sum thing you'l have to see for you'r self or just go for 4chans /m/ bored thy have been biching and moaning about it since last night.
The art just like the last movie is great but not without its hick-ups. On more then one occasion i notest charter models that just did not look right. Granted it was not all the time but even so in this day and age you rely should not have problems like that especially in a movie of one of animes most well known franchises.
And what do you want me to say about the music its a fucking Macross movie its going to be great. Hell there are only three things that rely defines the hole franchise and that fighter jets that turn into robots badly resolved love triangles and great music. And even tho they acholy fixed the love triangle part that dos not mean the music is going to suck. Infact this movie's sound track just scored a place in my list of best sound tracks of the year right below skyrims OST.
So all and all i say check this out if you have seen the first movie. Because let me say you will not get it if you only watched the anime the story from these two moves and the anime cud not be any further apart unless you changed the charter models and names. and if you have not seen the first movie go find it and watch it now. now my compatriots hear at otakuhome thought i was stupid for getting this figure but truth be told i rely got this thing for one hell of a price compared to what its going for on amazon witch mind you is curently $198 plus shipping to where i only played $10
and i must say i am happy with this figure its just your basic fixed posed figure with base and the paint aps are good only one real flaw theres no lips witch is anime accurate but on a figure its a bit weird but i like it i am a fan of the show its from and to a lesser existent a fan of the charter herself so i don't rely mind it plus you don't rely notes it unless you look up close and even then a little paint and problems solved granted id rather a basara figure but i can wait to get me a hi-metal VF-19 kai

However, its attacks are not conventional -- instead of trying to destroy them, they steal what is known as "spiritia", rendering victims unresponsive and zombie-like. During these battles, Basara always goes out into the middle of the warzone, singing his songs and expecting friend and foe to listen and be moved by his music.
and sepicing of the music macross 7 has to have the greates sound track in macros I love all the songs from fire bomber and wood love to acholy have thar records on CD and being a produc of the 90s its not saprising I love this growing up in the 90s myself

the next macross on my list will be macross 7 dynamite a short 4 ep OVA witch picks up Less than a year after the events that transpired in the Macross 7 TV series, Basara leaves Fire Bomber and travels to the planet Zola. There, he meets a girl named Elma, who is a big fan of Fire Bomber. It is also on this planet where he must once again use his Spiritia powers; this time, to stop an army of poachers and Elma's father Graham from killing a group of space whales travelling within the planetary system.
all the cast come back in this and over all thars not mutch I can talk about this ova its not relly that good nore is it bad infact they cud have just taked it on the end of the anime thow it did have one thing going for it and that wood be the op

hey guys its me nick and befor I start with more reviews of the new fall season Id figr Id do a revew on sumthing that I was litaral surching for for 2 years and thats macross II lovers again witch was a 6 ep ova sequel to macross do you remember love (the movie addaptation of the origanol macross anime this ova came out in May 21, 1992 and whent on till Nov 21, 1992 on a 1 a month relese like most ovas and befor I get into this one let me tell you alil about macross ingenarol its one of the real robot anime that came out after gundam and is know best over hear in the US as robotech but robotech was more of a almagamation of 3 anime witch macross was one of them infact it was the first saga apaly named the macross saga witch is even among robotech fans cunsiterd the mest saga of the basterasation that was robotech and with that out of the way let me give you a lil back ground on the story

next up on my list of things to talk about is the art and animation now as I sed erlyer this is a erly 90s OVA and the art shows that all handrown cels and I most say i love the art but for you people that cant stand the hand drown style Id like to say that you probly will hate the art but still you shud give this a tre its relly good but I know that whont happen becuse people like me oldfags as wer called on 4chan and other anime bords are a dieing breed of anime fan but the thing is even use fans of the older anime can still see the newer stuff in a good light even if it looks to cleen (witch is sumthing I think shood be changed in newer anime ) so why cant you newer fans do the same and see this art for what it is sumones hard work becuse thats what I seen ever fight seen in this OVA is one of a kind no stock animation (sept for the OP ending and the eye ceach) the chariters are properly paportioned and move without any cut or jiters in the animation
now the last thing on my list is the cast and chariters I love bolth the japanes VAs do thare job perfectly and relly mad me beleve the motavations of the chariters its sad that this OVA got sutch a atroshus US dub infact this is war macross 2 gets most of its heat from in the US dub it dusint sound like anyone relly cared if this sounded good or not witch was a damn shame so if this review makes you what to give macross 2 a trie first off good luck and second watch it in the japanese dub
